Aditya Rawat reviews J Sai Deepak’s India That is Bharat: Coloniality, Civilisation, Constitution. Rawat has criticised Sai Deepak for ignoring recent works of constitutional history as well as for primarily engaging with western scholars which blends with his rendition of decoloniality. Rawat also states that Sai Deepak has adopted a superficial approach while criticising concepts like constitutional morality and transformative constitutionalism, which require layered argumentation. Nonetheless, the author calls for engagement with the work.
